Dear Friends,

   As the end of 2008 nears, it is a great time of reflection of wonderful times that are now memories. We began the year with our Sunday Celebration services in “the Mansion” and many classes at our Oak Ave. location, as well as the many special and sacred events, movies, workshops and drumming circles. Then we moved our Sunday services “under one roof” and created a very sweet and magnificent sanctuary. Many Souls were touched by our Love, Compassion, and warmth. Many learned a lot about themselves and their valuable position in this thing called Life. We shared fabulous music, great potlucks, meaningful talks, exciting events, sincere sharing, and life altering experiences in our classes and book studies.  Our Spiritual family grew in many ways throughout the year!

       And looking forward to 2009, it is with bittersweet emotions that I announce the decision to close the doors at Tree of Life Center. We gave it a good try, and now Spirit has called me to share my Ministry with another community. I am on staff at the Church of Truth in Pasadena, serving on their Board of Trustees as well as teaching, coaching and ministering in any way that is needed. Something I have learned along my journey is to say “YES” when Spirit calls me into action.  And as I have said many times in classes, “If it’s right, make it easy, if it’s wrong, make it obvious!”  The offer to join my new community at Church of Truth was very easy, gracious and friendly, at the same time that the financial health of Tree of Life Center was becoming more obvious that the time had come to make a change.

     Ernest Holmes wrote, “…. The only thing that is constant, is change.” And so, as I make this transition, I want to thank YOU for your part in the legacy of the Tree of Life Center.  The part you played is valued, and you will always be in my heart.  We made a difference!
  
      A special thank you goes out to our Board of Trustees who were supportive, active, present and loving throughout this whole experience.
